<image:title>Projects - UX Research: African Storybook Reader - Case Study - Our team evaluated the African Storybook Reader mobile application. With this application, users can find storybooks to read with children in a variety of languages. These books can also be downloaded to read offline or to print out. Containing 221 languages, 1809 storybooks, and 6549 translations, this application also gives users the option to create a new picture storybook, translate a story, adapt a story for a different reading level, or build their own storybook collection</image:title>

      <image:title>Projects - (UX Design + Research): Homeroom App - Video Recording Room</image:title>
<image:caption>During the usability testing, we found that users thought this section was really fun for the students and the teachers using it. However, some concerns that we had to address was to make sure we could reduce distraction while we made sure the main focus was on creating the video. So we changed the screen layout to make the video the main focus with a smaller menu for effects on the left hand side of recording.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Projects - (UX Design + Research): Homeroom App - Homeroom Screen</image:title>
<image:caption>We received feedback on the home screen in my paper prototype usability tests that the screen might be too complicated and unfamiliar to elementary students, since it resembled a social media feed. When redesigning the page, we made the community section of the page more reminiscent of a bulletin board, and included information that students found helpful on whiteboards in their classrooms—the daily agenda and upcoming events.</image:caption>

<image:caption>This includes a view of classmates, a larger view of the teacher, and buttons that open tools to send reaction stickers and take notes. During our usability tests, we found that some of the features weren’t as easily accessible as we thought. We found that creating a react or sticker like emoji would help students find the send sticker function. In our final iteration, we decided to keep the section on the the middle of the screen and vertically (as seen above).</image:caption>
